Blah, Crazy Week.

Hi guys, sorry I didn't update for Weigh In Wednesday, it has been a crazy week for me.
On the 16th I was horribly sick, I woke up and couldn't swallow, I was shaking, I had a fever of 106 and I was hallucinating!! My mom took me to the Emergency Room, it turns out I had the Flu (so much for Flu shots anymore) I have never been so sick in my life!
I am recovering, my throat still hurts and my fever comes and go's but I will survive :)

So from being sick I have not worked out AT ALL this week, feeling guilty but I know if I try I will fail and throw up :( I still lost weight this week though!!
I lost 3.0 pounds this week so my currant weight is now 256.4!! I have officially lost 20lbs! I still have long way to go but I feel so accomplished by that landmark number, if you told me 2 months ago I would be 20 pounds lighter today I would say "yeah right"

My birthday is coming up (April 2nd) I will be 17, yay! I am asking for a Spin Bike and a new pair of Nike's. I never in my life thought I would ever ask for exercise equipment for my birthday haha!

3.6 Pounds Lost In A Week!

Okay, so remember last week I didn't lose anything, I am guessing it was because it was my "time of the month" well I woke up this morning dreading weighing in because the whole week I have felt "yucky" and didn't exercise much because of it.
Well I stepped on my scale and saw 259.0.....that is a 3.6 pound loss!!
I am in the 250's!! Yes it is still really overweight but I am 9 pounds away now from 250! Do you know how many things you can do at 250? 250 is the weight limit for a lot of things.....at 250 I can go on any roller coaster, I can go on a trampoline, I can sit on a plastic chair, I can buy a cheap bed from Ikea, haha :)
When I get to 250 I will feel so much less terrified of breaking things, even though I have never broken anything because of my weight, it is still a huge fear of mine!

I have lost a total of 17 pounds so far and I am going strong :)

Oh, I finally got Riley! she is so adorable! Though my plan on her being my walking/jogging partner is out the window for right now considering she still has to learn to walk on a leash, plus she is only 3 pounds so she can barely walk haha :)

Only Losing Every Other Week?

I am truly confused at the moment! Last Wednesday I weighed in a 262.6 which was a great number considering the two weeks before that I stayed the same weight, here are my past "Weigh In Wednesdays"


February 6th, 2013: 267.8 lbs.
February 13th, 2013: 267.8 lbs.  
February 20th, 2013: 265.0 lbs.
February 27th, 2013: 262.6 lbs. 
March 6th, 2013: 262.6 lbs. 

As you can see I am only losing every other week! Am I at some sort of plateau? I find that unlikely though because I am still in the very early stages of losing weight. I am not doing anything different, I am eating the same (about 1400 calories a day now!) and exercising so I am just a bit confused. Also I notice that the week that I don't lose weight is also the week when its that time of the month for me, could that be the reason I am not losing? If you have some kind advise please let me know :)


Sorry I have been so MIA from commenting on others blogs, I was very busy this week with doctors appointments (don't worry, I am fine) and helping my mom get ready for the spring/summer.

I went to the dermatologist the other day and they told me I have Rosacea, which I figured since I have been red faced my entire life, also it is very common for Irish heritage (I am half Irish half Italian) So she put me on medicine for that and prescribed a cream I have to apply twice a day, hopefully that one day clears up!
Then today I went to the dentist and got two fillings, I have never gotten a filling before so I was very nervous, mostly because of the shot of Novocaine, I was pleasantly surprised though when I found out I wont be needing a shot because the cavities were not that bad, that took a lot  of anxiety away haha.
Also this week I helped my mom clean up our lawn and yard and put out our deck furniture because it is finally starting to warm up here, but of course we are now expecting a foot of snow tomorrow :(

Feeling Better Then Ever.

I am cured from Strep Throat and back on track!
Yesterday my sister and I went on a walk, we walked 3.2 Miles (farthest I have EVER walked)
My sister (who is younger and in a lot better shape then I am) took me a new way that I have never been for our walked and we walked up this huge hill that I swore I would die before I got to the top of it. When I got to the top I was out of breath, but I wasn't dead. I plan on walking up this hill a couple times a week until I can run up it :)

                                                           

 Today I weighed in, I am 262.6 that's a 2.4 Pound weight loss in a week! That is amazing considering I did not exercise while I was sick! I am going to keep doing this, I can feel it that I am in it to win it and I will be at my goal weight one day :)
P.S. My pants are getting too big for me, yay!


Also, I found out today I cant get Riley tomorrow, I have to pick her up on March 7th. :(
But the shelter sent us another picture of her to hold us over :)

Please, Let Me Be Better!

This is day 3 of me being sick. Blah.
On Thursday I woke up in with a fever and a sore throat. I went to the doctor and it turned out that I have Strep Throat. I have not been able to eat much because it is so hard for me to swallow, and I have not been able to exercise because that's just impossible when I am sick. I have been living on tea and strawberry jello since Thursday, with a few solid foods here and there. Now today, I am feeling a ton better but not totally cured yet, I am able to eat normally again but I am still feeling a little too sluggish to exercise. I will try exercising later today depending on how I feel, hopefully I will be successful or I don't think this week will be as great as last week.


On a happier note though, I am getting a puppy! My family and I have been talking about for awhile about getting a dog and we finally found one that we ADORE! She is 7 weeks old and we can pick her up from the shelter on Thursday, I am so excited! She is a Mini Schnauzer/Chihuahua mix and we are going to name her Riley.
I can not wait to bring her home!!!

Weigh In #3

I have been feeling so good this week, I have been eating more, exercising more and I am happy because I am starting to see a difference in myself!
The first thing that I noticed that are starting to get to big on me are my bras, even on the 3rd hook they are still to loose! My favorite pair of jeans (that I could barely button when I first bought them 3 months ago) I need a belt for now because they are so baggy! I know it might sound shallow but one of the things I am most excited for after losing weight is being able to wear nice clothes. I am 16 years old and I love fashion, I want to be able to go to the mall and find clothes at any store that fit me, I am tired of walking to the plus size section of a store- if the store even has one.

My mom has been wanting me to start taking a multi vitamin, so yesterday I went to Walmart and looked for one, it was actually really hard to find one, I couldn't get a adult vitamin but I also didn't want to get a gummy kid vitamin haha, but then I saw that One a Day Women makes a teenage vitamin for girls and I picked that up, I haven't tried it yet but I will post in a couple weeks and let you know if I am seeing a difference after taking them.

Today, I weighed in. Last week I was 267.8 this morning I was 265.0, I lost 2.8 lbs this week! That is great for me. Thank you to everyone that follows this blog and leaves comments and supports me! I really don't think I could be doing this without you :)
